(2a)
When Ahab became the king, he married a woman from Phoenicia and brought her to Israel. She was called Jezebel. She introduced the religion of her country (Baal worship) to Israel. In fact, she was trying to make Baalism the religion of Israel against Israel’s tradition.
Ahab, egged on by his wife, intended to kill Elijah, who had three years earlier prophesied to him that God was sending a drought as judgement on Israel’s idolatry and apostasy. Elijah therefore must first see Ahab; and God in this way would uphold His servant and vindicate His word. It was while searching for grass, in obedience to Ahab’s command, in order to preserve the horses and mules, that Elijah met Obadiah. Obadiah was a court official in charge of the household of the King; a steward and manager of the palace and all its affairs. He was also a believer who feared the Lord and was a man of faith. Obadiah was a good man in a bad place, risking all to protect God’s prophets.
Obadiah knew the prophet, and, as if troubled at the encounter, fell on his face, and said, “Art thou that my lord Elijah?” He exhibited no signs of gladness in seeing Jehovah’s faithful messenger, one who also feared the Lord greatly, and proved it in holy obedience. Fear rather seems to have possessed his soul, as if he anticipated warning or rebuke.
Elijah told Obadiah to go to Ahab and announce his arrival but Obadiah is reticent to do so afraid that if Ahab cannot then find Elijah, his own life will be in danger. He is reassured when Elijah agrees to meet Ahab himself later that day. Then Obadiah went ahesad to arrange the meeting.

(2b)
(i) We should have faith in God at all time. It took the courage of faith for Obadiah to hide 100 prophets and care for them.
(i) If any true man of God gives an assignment, it is good for the Christians to carry out that assignment.

Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, telling Jesus that He(Jesus) is the one to baptize him(John) and not the other way round. But Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son; with him I am well pleased.”

(5b)

Paul wrote to the Thessalonians on the dignity of labour. He rebuked and disowned those brothers and sisters in the church who lived in idleness, for they were not living according to the laid down rules of the church. He encouraged them to imitate his exemplary life because he worked night and day. He did not in any way like idleness; neither did he depend on their material support for living. He worked for his earnings and paid for what he ate.
He further explained that to work is a command and not a suggestion. He said that it is a command that if any should not work, he should not eat.

(6b)
(i) Every profession deserves respect because every one of those people are contributing to the society
